checksum
Hash
SHA-1 through SHA-512 over text or a dropped file, computed in the tab.
…or drop a file to hash it. Large files are read in chunks.
MD5 is deliberately absent. It is broken for anything security-shaped, and where it is still used, checking a download did not corrupt, SHA-256 does the same job at the same speed. If you genuinely need MD5 for a legacy protocol, your language already has it.
